The Three States
VagalPath is built around Polyvagal Theory’s three nervous system states:
- Safe & Social (Ventral Vagal) — Calm, connected, present
- Fight or Flight (Sympathetic) — Anxious, restless, on edge
- Shutdown (Dorsal Vagal) — Numb, disconnected, frozen
