Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get started?

When you first open VagalPath, you’ll see a short introduction to the app and Polyvagal Theory. After that, you’ll choose a plan — 30, 40, or 90 days, or an ongoing daily practice. Your journey begins immediately.

Can I change my plan?

Yes. Go to Settings > Change Plan to switch between 30-day, 40-day, 90-day, or daily plans at any time. Changing your plan will reset your progress.

What if I miss a day?

That’s completely fine. VagalPath picks up where you left off. You can also skip any exercise that doesn’t feel right for you — there’s no penalty.

Is my data private?

Yes. All your data — progress, journal entries, check-ins — is stored locally on your device. We don’t collect, store, or transmit any personal information. There are no accounts, no cloud sync, and no tracking.

How do I reset my progress?

Go to Settings > Reset Progress. This clears your completed days, journal entries, and check-ins but keeps your plan selection.

How do I delete all my data?

Go to Settings > Delete All Data. This removes everything and returns the app to its initial state. You can also uninstall the app to remove all data.

Are the exercises suitable for people with limited mobility?

Yes. Many exercises include seated, lying-down, or chair-based alternatives. The “Accessible” tag marks exercises specifically designed for different abilities.

Is this app a replacement for therapy?

No. VagalPath is designed for general wellness purposes only. It is not a medical device and is not a substitute for professional medical or mental health advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If you’re struggling, please reach out to a qualified professional.


Troubleshooting

The app isn’t loading

Try closing the app completely and reopening it. If the problem persists, try restarting your device.

My progress disappeared

Your progress is stored on your device. If you deleted and reinstalled the app, your data will have been removed. Unfortunately, this cannot be recovered.
