RunDose Support

Getting Started

How do I use RunDose?

When you first open the app, tap “Set Your Goal” to enter your annual running target. Choose your unit (km or miles), set how many times a week you plan to run, enter your goal distance, and optionally add how far you have already run this year. Tap “Start Running” and the dashboard will show you exactly how far your next run should be.

What does the main number mean?

The large number on the dashboard is your recommended distance for your next run. It is calculated by dividing your remaining distance for the year by your remaining number of runs, based on your runs-per-week setting.

How do I change my goal?

Tap the settings icon (gear) in the top-right corner of the dashboard. You can update your annual goal, year-to-date distance, unit, and runs per week at any time.

Dashboard

What does “ahead” or “behind” mean?

RunDose compares your year-to-date distance against where you should be at this point in the year based on a linear pace. If you have run more than expected, you are “ahead.” If less, you are “behind.”

What does the progress bar show?

The progress bar has two layers. The solid colour shows your actual progress as a percentage of your annual goal. The lighter bar behind it shows where you should be at this point in the year based on a linear pace.

What do the stat cards show?

The “Goal” card shows your annual target. The “Remaining” card shows how much distance is left and approximately how many runs that represents based on your runs-per-week setting.

How do I update my year-to-date distance?

You can update it directly from the dashboard. Tap the distance input field under “YTD Distance,” enter your new total, and tap “Update.” You can also update it in Settings.

Runs Per Week

How does runs per week work?

When you set your runs per week (1 to 7), RunDose calculates how many runs you have left in the year and divides your remaining distance by that number. Fewer runs per week means a longer recommended distance per run.

Should I update this if I miss a week?

The setting represents your typical plan, not a strict schedule. If you consistently run fewer times than set, you may want to adjust it so the per-run recommendation stays realistic.

Privacy & Data

Does this app collect my data?

No. RunDose collects absolutely no data. Everything is stored locally on your device.

Does this app need the internet?

No. RunDose works completely offline.

How do I delete all my data?

Go to Settings and tap “Reset All Data.” This will clear your goal, distance, and all settings, returning you to the welcome screen. Uninstalling the app also removes all data.

Troubleshooting

The app is not loading correctly

Try closing and reopening the app. If the issue persists, try uninstalling and reinstalling (note: this will delete your data).

I see an error screen on launch

Tap the “Try again” button. If the problem continues, try uninstalling and reinstalling the app.

My recommended distance seems wrong

Check that your year-to-date distance is accurate and up to date. Also check that your runs-per-week setting matches your actual running frequency. The recommendation recalculates daily based on remaining distance and remaining runs in the year.
